The Mission of St. James New Vision is to actively involve the parishioners in the life of the Church and the fulfillment of its Mission by offering spiritual, social, cultural, educational, service and outreach programs that meet the needs of the parishioners, promote fellowship and support their participation

Early Spring 2000, shortly after his arrival at St. James, Father Arakel began to bring a group of young people together from across the parish to join in forums of discussion. As a result the participants identified following five areas as important to them: Welcoming, Religious Education, Social, Cultural, Outreach to our local community and Outreach to our Sister Church in Armenia.

Since its inception, New Vision has been an active organization of St. James, organizing parish wide events and activities ranging from a Cultural Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide, to volunteering at a soup kitchen, organizing Lenten programs.

Women’s Ministry, a part of New Vision, has been sponsoring interactive programs featuring a variety of engaging speakers who bring their expertise and experience on a range of topics designed to help women develop and grow in their Christian faith. Past topics have included Parenting, a Lenten Journey, Prayer and Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things.
